Alhamdulillah friends, we are grateful to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala where we gather tonight. Because we Coming this month is a golden opportunity that God wants to give us to abort our sins.
Because the month of Ramadan of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is mandated because of the great wisdom. Among the wisdom of the month of Ramadan is practicing patience. Train our patience to hold back from something that can cancel fasting. Patience is meant here is patience that is our body.
Where we wait not to eat, we wait for us not to drink, we wait to hold lust, jima. This is actually the patience that can be said to be the lowest. Because the scholars say that patience has three levels; the first level is patience in order to obey Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, the second level is patience to leave disobedience, then the last is patience in the face of calamity, hunger, thirst, thirst.
So why did Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala prescribe His servants to be hungry for a month during the day? Because there are extraordinary lessons too. What is that?
First, eleven months we have eaten, drunk, eaten, drunk. While the Prophet sallallaahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam said that the worst thing for a vessel to be filled is the stomach. Said the Prophet sallallaahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam:
مَا مَلَأَ آدَمِيٌّ وِعَاءً شَرًّا مِنْ بَطْنٍ
"It is not that the son of Adam fills a vessel that is worse than his own stomach." (Narrated by Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Ahmad)
Imagine, the Prophet sallallaahu a Alaihi wa Sallam said that the worst vessel to fulfill was his own stomach. Why? From the food there are many diseases, not to mention poison and others. Then this is physical wisdom. God wants to cleanse our bodies. Toxins are released, poisons from our body.
Of course, God willing also provide health and strength in our fasting. So in Japan is moldy fasting home for the treatment of toxins from the body. Where they are in the house fasting from dawn until sunset.
Second, great wisdom is how to purify our hearts with fasting. Because with us fasting in the month of Ramadan, every day we fast, at night we pray tarawih. So with that MasyaAllah gives purity to our hearts. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala when mentioning the obligations of the month of Ramadan, Allah mentions his great wisdom. Guests are extremely noble. Great month, the month that was revealed to him Al-Qur’anul Karim. Then we should be the believers, with the coming of this month feeling happy.
"O you who believe, are required for you to fast as required by those before you so that you fear," (Surah Al-Baqarah : 185)
Allah says here, "that you fear Allah."
Subhan Allah. Taqwa is the ultimate goal of fasting. Where the nature of piety is the soul's strength to carry out obedience and stay away from disobedience. MasyaAllah, Subhanallah. This pious person is given by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala many privileges. So to get to the head of this taqwa, Allah is presenting Ramadan fasting.
We fast for a whole month, Subhanallah .. Rasulullah Sallallaahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam said:
عَلَيْكَ بِالصَّوْمِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا مِثْلَ لَهُ
"You should worship fasting because fasting is unmatched." (HR. An-Nasa’i)
How do you mean there is no match? because in fasting there is patience while the reward of patience has no limits. Does not Allah Ta'ala say:
إِنَّمَا يُوَفَّى الصَّابِرُونَ أَجْرَهُم بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ ﴿١٠﴾
"Surely only those who are patient Who have fulfilled their reward without limits." (Surah Az-Zumar : 10)
MasyaAllah .. Another practice written by Allah 10 to 700 times. As for fasting, no.
This is very great wisdom. Forming piety is not an easy matter. Forming piety requires the strength, soul and heart. And to form a soul that is godly it must first trouble yourself. Imagine a month of fasting, the results are extraordinary. Indeed everything must be difficult first.
Especially to get the paradise of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. To form the soul of God, our hearts must be forced. Indeed it is sunnahtullah to get pleasure must be accompanied by distress first. Then Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala willed this month of Ramadan. Fasting for 30 days or less 1 day.
Difficult ourselves to fast in order to clear our hearts so that our hearts are more beautiful than pearls. So that our hearts sparkle with the light of faith. Subhan Allah. Brothers and sisters, isn't this an extraordinary lesson in our lives? Because human perfection is not by eating much, my brother.
People who eat a lot I'm sure their bodies have many diseases. Look at people who want to be healthy. It turns out they have to diet. For dieting, eating must be reduced. Usually eat three dishes, minus half plates. You can't eat this, this, this, hold back so that your body stays fit, slim, tasty. It turns out that for that alone we have to torture ourselves.
Moreover, to get the title of piety, you cannot be careless. So when I asked yesterday, I thought, "Oh, God, this climb is as high as this we are trying to get tired to be able to climb. Why don't we try to get tired of Allah's paradise, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala?
But after a long time the main goal was actually 2 notes & not, worship. 2 notes & a day, two days strong, tahajud passing, read the Qur'an where, he said the aim is to worship? Apparently there was no result. This is also a danger. Means deviating from the goal.
Brothers and Sisters,
So, the fasting of Ramadan, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, is intended for us to be good for us. God loves His servants sometimes in a little troubles. Prophet Yusuf ‘Alaihish Shalatu was Salam lacking in piety how else? Allah loves Prophet Yusuf. Allah wants to save the Prophet Yusuf from the slander of noble women.
How to? Imprisoned for years in the underground. Finally, saved the Prophet Yusuf from slander. Allah loves Prophet Yusuf. Sometimes God loves me in a difficult way first. The goal is that he wants to come back to God Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. So some Salaf scholars have said this before, "When we were afflicted with distress, we could be patient. But when we are overwritten with pleasure we cannot be patient. "
Yes, with pleasure we are spoiled. People who are accustomed to being happy, are used to being comfortable, so that even a little heavy worship sometimes complains. This is the result of being impatient when given pleasure.
